Christi G asked:

I am a traveling nurse, so I go to several different addresses every day. I tend to get lost a lot, and often encounter construction and closed routes. I am looking for a car GPS navigation system, but I have no idea where to even start. The only feature I know for sure that I want to have is some sort of lane guidance. I’m not too concerned about the price, I just want something dependable that will get me un-lost. :)

Sounds like you should go to a retail electronics place and have salesperson show you the range of stuff. Look for ease of location entry, recalling a stored location, turn-by-turn directions.

Remember, if it doesn’t look like it’ll do the job, keep looking.

Garmin is a best gps for car, Garmin has a simple controls – simply touch the color screen to enter a destination, has a turn-by-turn voice directions, 2-D or 3-D maps and more feature.

I suggestion a Garmin nuvi (in a high model) model is a 765T, 775T, 785T, 885T.

765T : has text-to-speech, 4.3-Inch diagonal touch screen color display, bluetooth, speed limit Indicator, where am I- where’s my car function, multi-destination routing, lane assist, free real-time traffic updates from Navteq, etc.

885T : has text-to-speech, 4.3-Inch diagonal touch screen color display, bluetooth, personal travel assistant, get enhanced MSN direct, send addresses directly from google maps or mapquest, where am I function, etc.

Main feature when buy GPS : text-to-speech, wide screen, bluetooth, (mp3 player-lane assist-personal travel assistant-multi-destination routing-where am I function-Integrated FM receiver with lifetime traffic (have only in advance model or high model)).

It’s either tom tom or garmin. I have a garmin nuvi 855 and it seems to work great. Both are great GPS systems
