Cookie Maker asked:
It’s my boyfriend’s birthday next month and he cannot stop talking about how much he wants a GPS for the car. He also has been wanting a radar detector. I wanted to know if there is a GPS system that also has a built in radar detector in it?
I’ve been googling and have found some talk about the Trax430. Any news how well it performs?

Well a radar detector is a bit obsolete b/c police have changed over to lasers. There is no frequency to light.
I would look at a Garmin or TomTom for a GPS and Amazon has some great prices. As for as a radar detector, I would stick with a GPS. Check my source below for some good ideas. Many cops will not let you off or cut you a break on a speeding ticket if you have a radar detector.
Ha! No way authorities will let GPS manufacturers get away with that…
They will lose too much tax money!
