I have the same garmin. I live in miami and it gets really hot I usually put it in the glove box also and it keeps it fine if I leave it out it will sometimes give me a fit and not want to turn on due to the amount of heat it retained.
Your owners manuel will tell you the temperatures that the unit can withstand. I’m sur eit’s durable and can take a lil whileinthe sun…. but don;t leave it on the dash at the airport parking lot during the summer, if you know what I mean. (depends on where you live)
but your ownsers manuel will give you the temperature that the unit can withstand…. it’ll be just fine in the running the days errands but put it away during work (if parked in the sun for long periods)…. just read the manuel
